New Gas Installer Scheme Reminder

RS Heating and Building Co. would like to remind all customers and news feed subscribers that Gas Safe replaces CORGI with effect from April 1st 2009.

The managing director of the new body Mr Peter Eldridge admits that replacing CORGI and ensuring consumers are aware of the new changes will be a challenging task - "Gas Safe Register must quickly replace CORGI in the minds of gas consumers. It's a big mountain to climb, but we're confident the new brand takes us half way there. The name is simple, meaningful and it speaks for itself."

Gas Safe Register logoThe primary focus of Gas Safe Register is to ensure that consumers always use a registered engineer or company, thus ensuring that any work carried out is done so the latest standards and is done so by someone whom is properly certified. Ann Robinson the director of public awareness comments "Our publicity campaign has a serious message about gas safety, backed up by research. Our message is to always use a Gas Safe Register engineer, check their ID every time and do not give rogue traders a chance.

As ever RS Heating and Building are ensuring that they are registered with all the relevant trade bodies to ensure that all tradesmen within the company are properly qualified and certified as members of the required and relevant trade bodies. Therefore from the 1st April customers should look for the Gas Safe Register logo (pictured) rather than CORGI.
